• Fedora VPS

Fedora is known as the test-bed for future versions of RedHat Enterprise Linux and maintained by the Fedora Project with funding from RedHat Inc.

As with our CentOS VPS's, Fedora uses RPM's for packages and YUM for easy-to-use package management. We recommend this OS for customers requiring the "leading-edge" technologies included in Fedora who may not necessarily need the more stable platform offered on our CentOS range. In an interview, Linux Torvald's, the founder of Linux, stated that he uses Fedora on his own systems, because it is so simple to keep updated.

We offer the latest stable release of Fedora:

    Fedora 11 "Leonidas" VPS

This is maintained by the Fedora Project for approximately 13 months after release, this means from around July 2010 there will be no further updates or fixes applied to this OS. For users requiring longer support periods, we suggest you select a CentOS VPS.
